“TRADITIONAL WORSHIP IN A CONTEMPORARY WORLD”
The family of Our Savior, a church of mission to Christ Jesus for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), welcomes you to our webpage. You are visiting us for a reason. You may be looking for a new church or seeking something missing in your life. The Lord can provide both for you in worship of Him.
We are one of the youngest churches in the LCMS (over 6000 congregations and 2.5 million strong) and the youngest Christian Church in the area having had our very first service on Christmas Eve 2006. What could be a better occasion than to have the birth of a new family in Christ Jesus on the very day the birth of the Savior of the world is celebrated worldwide?
What may be missing in your life? The inerrant, inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:15). What is the inspired Word of God? The truth, given by the Holy Spirit, to mankind and delivered to you in a traditional worship style.
A church of mission is a church in which you cannot hide and where you are missed when you are not worshiping with us. Our Savior is one where everyone knows your name. A church of mission is just what it sounds like - every family member is engaged in the Great Commission of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20)- sharing God’s Word of baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Why is this important? It is important because, in a world that desires “change”, one thing never changes- the love of God for those who believe in Him and come to Him in the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus.
How would you describe the love of God? “This is love: not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the payment for our sins. Dear friends, if this is the way God loved us, we must also love each other.” 1 John 4:10-11
Our Savior is in mission to the community and always looking for ways to serve our neighbors. Current missions include: Bible study @ the Village Apartments; monthly collections for the St. Joseph food pantry; funding for the St. Joseph Good Samaritan fund; Highway cleanup of a two-mile section of Hwy 150; and a welcome bag ministry for new families moving to the area. Since we are always looking for new mission opportunities, we would love your ideas of how we can serve God through serving each other.
On September 12, 2010 we dedicated a new church building to God, and are blessed to be debt free. Because we are debt free, we can focus our attention upon serving our Lord. We have two church offices: one in the home of the pastor and the other in the church. We have Bible studies, small groups, and other fellowship events held in neighborhood homes. We are a part of the community much like the early Christian church.
Come and join us on Sunday mornings @ 10:15am to worship the Lord with our family.
